Coterminal Program
The coterminal degree program allows Stanford undergraduates to study for a master’s degree while completing their bachelor’s degree(s) in the same or a different department. Coterms are both undergraduate and graduate students at the same time for at least one quarter prior to undergraduate degree conferral. Materials science is a highly integrated and interdisciplinary subject. Therefore, students of any engineering or science undergraduate major are encouraged to apply. Coterminal master’s degree candidates are expected to complete all master’s degree requirements as described in the Stanford Bulletin.

- Two Letters of Recommendation: One is required to be from a MatSci Faculty member. The letters are due by the deadline.
- Not required: GRE Scores
