Evan J. Reed

With great sadness, The Department of Materials Science and Engineering announces that our colleague and dear friend, Professor Evan J. Reed, passed away on March 19, 2022. 

Professor Reed joined Stanford University in December 2009 and was a pioneer in the use of machine learning for materials discovery.

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering extends our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and students.
