Photonic, plasmonic and magnetic materials are key drivers in technological advancements for information storage, processing and delivery.

Engineering the interaction of materials with light and magnetic field has wide applications from information technology to biomedical imaging. New photonic, plasmonic and magnetic nanomaterials promise dramatic breakthroughs in communications, computing devices, solid-state light sources and biosensors. Current research includes semiconductor nanophotonics, plasmonic materials, spintronic devices, magnetic nanomaterials, near-infrared sensors and new biological imaging methods based thereon.
